VSOP modified; rotogravure unit moved from “in line” to “off line”

DGpS successfully completed a project in which an integrated rotogravure unit was removed from a VSOP press. Then the rotogravure unit was merged with a used refurbished unwind, rewind and dryer and was brought into production as an separate installation. The full scope of this project was executed by DGpS and consisted of removal of the unit, reconfiguration and reprogramming of the press and refurbishing of components. Next to this DGpS fully engineered the off line unit and its control system, delivered the used components, manufactured new the components and installed on site. The project was concluded with production start up support. The customer changed the configuration of his press to adapt to a changed order profile on his production in which an off line solution for varnishing is more effective. Because the new line is mainly based on used equipment the investment was relatively low. The whole project took only 7 weeks.
