There are creative possibilities for an affordable major overhaul of your press without the press going down. How that can be done shows the following case which we currently have in process for a customer in Europe.
During the next weeks we will run a program at a customer in which we fit 2 refurbished and upgraded printing units in the position of unit # 1 and unit #2 from a 6 color Vision press. These 2 old units will then be refurbished in our house and after refurbishment exchanged with the 2 next units ( #3, #4) . these units will then after refurbishment be placed on the position of #5 and #6. The old units #5 and #6 are taken back to DGpS. The exchange of the units in this case will be done during the weekend , so there is hardly any production stop. The price of such fully refurbished and upgraded 6 color press is below 200.000 euro and can be executed without any production loss. The total lead-time for such an upgrade is about four months.
